Starting a new project. Has nothing to do with a circuit board, so I hope it’s ok 
I recently bought a small plastic blue moon powered by 3 flat batteries that run one LED.
I want to convert this thing into a desk lamp, with higher brightness. Since it is plastic, the interior cannot witstand heat so I need to use a stronger LED.
What should I use (the interior is as wide as two thumbs) that is both strong, no heat, and runs on wall electricity (no batteries) ?
