Do Blynk questions go here? I have one, and it concerns setting it up to turn something on

Hello!

I bought a while back the IoT starter kit for the Blynk platform. I’d originally intended to use it to control a SSR device, in that it would turn on something and then turn it off. And because it uses WiFi I’d be able to communicate with it from within a room, and instruct it to start that routine. Now about a year and a half later I’m looking to do that.

Is that possible? And where to begin doing it? Or would this be better off on a regular ESP8266 platform such as the DEV platform, either with the pins attached or not attached.

You can do this task with the ESP8266, an SSR and the Blynk app installed on your mobile.

Hello!

That’s good to know. I guess what I was looking for, was more along the lines of where to begin with the Blynk app.

Ummm I think you may get some lead from here: https://techatronic.com/blynk-home-automation/

This is a quite elaborate description of the whole process.
