As part of one of my first projects I am trying to drive a 12v stepper motor (https://thepihut.com/products/micro-met … v-0-6kg-cm) using an easydriver A3967 and an arduino uno. I used a tutorial at https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/ea … -guide/all and I followed the instructions and copied the code but when I connected everything up the easydriver blew. The only reason I could thin of was that it might have shorted somewhere but I’m not sure. Any advice would be appreciated.
Hello Plasterboard.
It wouldn’t have been shorted when we shipped it as we test each of these with a stepper motor before shipping them.
How is your motor attached to the Easydriver board? One thing that can cause the driver chip to blow out though is if you don’t have your motor wires securely connected to the board and they come loose while the power is on.
