Eagle ERC Warning - Newbie Question

I laid out a small pcb in eagle using the auto router. I get ERC warnings that I don’t understand. The message is appended below.

When the warning says “Junction at (2 1.7)”. What do the coordinates (2 1.7) refer to ? Are the coordinates in inches, cells or other ? I haven’t been able to map the coordinates to anything on the board. This is a very simple board.

Thanks - Felix

The grid coordinates in Eagle refer to the coordinates of your current grid.

If you are looking at your schematic (in Eagle) the upper left part of the window…you will find your mouse coordinate. (these number change according to where your mouse is.) This coordinate window is just to the right of the layers button …and only shows corrdinates with the mouse within the drawing area.

I have found time that eagle has errors that I could never find…

If you write down the error coordinates…and trace them with the coordinate window…you will find where the errors are located.

I’m not sure what the first two errors are…but the last error means you didn’t connect the “net” to the end of a pin…it is connected to the middle of a pin on some component.

I hope this helps,

James, thank you. You got me started on the road to finding my problem. I had tried using those coordinates and found that there was nothing even close to that point. I was looking for some coordinate system less straight forward. After your comments, I went back and looked a little harder. Turned out I kept looking on the board layout rather then the schematic.

Holy smoke, I wish I had used an alias.

Thanks again, Felix
