EL Sequencer - retired products

So I’m starting my first project with an EL Sequencer and as I’m adding all the pieces I need to start - I’m seeing that the 12v inverter has been retired (same with the 3v inverter). Is there something i’m missing? Have the inverters been retired because of some updates to the boards?

Admittedly this is my first project in this territory, so i want to make sure i have all the pieces i need. Every tutorial I see on Sparkfun mentions that you need an inverter connected to your EL Sequencer.

They were retired by the manufacturer/supplier - an inverter is still necessary for the el sequencer :-/
