Encoder Switch purchase

I’m using the Eagle PCB design.

From the Sparkfun library I chose the ‘Encoder Switch’ for my schematic. This part is a a rotary encoder switch and has 3-pins on one side and 2-pins on the other side.

Now exactly how do I purchase the exact switch part from Sparkfun that matches the schematic? Do I just go by the name ‘Encoder Switch’ and hope it matches the schematic? Is com-09117 the correct part number ??

I believe so; we oly carry 2 that have 3/2 pins, the one you mentioned https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9117 and this one https://cdn.sparkfun.com/assets/d/d/3/2 … _Force.pdf, which you can compare the specs against…as long as the eagle file shows different dimensions, it’s safe to assume it matches COM-09117 :smiley:
