Error validating JTAG scan chain

Hi guys, I have an ARM-JTAG and an LPC-P2106-B connected to a laptop running Gentoo 64bit kernel 2.6.22.1, using an ExpressCard/34 parallel port adapter. The parallel adapter shows up as /dev/parport0, and I can use it successfully with some completely different program to bit bang a different board I have. This is what I get when I try to run openocd:

Info: openocd.c:92 main(): Open On-Chip Debugger (2007-08-10 22:30 CEST)

Error: jtag.c:1253 jtag_examine_chain(): JTAG communication failure, check connection, JTAG interface, target power etc.

And here is my config file:

I am not sure that this config file is completely correct, but I think it should work to at least get farther than this. Any ideas?
