ETA on PSP Carrier Board

Do you know if there is another place that has a similar product.

If this is at all helpful, I recently made a couple crude adapters to run the pinout through a breadboard for some projects I have wanted to try with this LCD. I used a similar construction method to what busonerd was suggesting on the previous page, with some salvaged connectors, radioshack perfboard, 40 pin headers, and 30 awg wire.

just wow

FYI:

I have been making a PSP LCD/touchscreen adapter board as well (although it has a bunch more peripherals). I call it RMT1. It will be available for sale in 2-3 weeks.

It is intended to be a peripheral board for the Atmel NGW100 AVR32 board. The interface is just a set of 0.1" headers, so RMT1 should be adaptable to other CPU boards, etc.

It also has footprints for the VirtualCogs VCMX21, although I have pretty much given up on supporting it.

You can see the history of development on my blog:

http://apps.mediamatech.com/Blog/

And the DRAFT revision of the User Manual outlines at length what it will have and not have:

http://www.mediamatech.com/shop/downloa … T1_v01.pdf

I have also created source patches and binaries for u-boot and linux kernel for AVR32, specifically for the NGW100 and RMT1 peripherals (including LCD and touchscreen).

I am a beginner at this stuff. Where should I start?

rickyman:

Is there something specific you would like to do? A project you want to try? Or an idea you want to figure a way to bring to reality? A specific technology you want to dig in and learn about?

If you can answer one or more of those questions, then I think you can find all sorts of help around here.

Regards,

Pete

In my end result, I want to be able to run Linux on an embedded system. I want to use the touch screen and the psp screen, and along with other add-ons like accelerometer.

I would suggest you start a new topic in another Sparkfun forum, like “Projects”.

The more details you provide, and your level of experience/knowledge, would be helpful, so you can get relevant responses from others.
