Fast Microcontroller / FPGA with 5V IO

Hi all,

for a small project I’m looking for a development board:

  • 38 I/O, tristate

  • 5V tolerant, if possible even 5V out

  • ‘Fast’ (100Mhz+ if micro controller), any FPGA would be more than fast enough anyways

For some first tests a ready-to-go dev board would be nice…

Any suggestions?

Thanks for reaching out to us on this.

Being 5v tolerant is the only part that introduces complexion…that generally hard-to-find ready-to-go, but perhaps look at getting this FPGA https://www.sparkfun.com/products/16527 , and using a few of these low-cost logic-level converters https://www.sparkfun.com/products/12009 to reduce the I/O voltage down to the ever-present 3.3v

Hope this helps, and happy sparking!
