I am trying to use the FemtoBuck with an analog control voltage. However, it seems to respond only in a digital manner. If I input a dc voltage to the control pin, below approximately .47 volts, the output is off. Above that value it seem to suddenly switch to full on. I could obviously drive it with a PWM signal to simulate an analog output, but that is not what I want. How can I drive this device with an analog signal? Am I doing something wrong/
Hi tsaksa.
The voltage range for analog control is between .5 and 2.5 volts. If you’ve applied more than 2.5 volts to the board, you may have damaged the analog control input so that it’s either on or off.
How are you generating your analog control voltage and can you send a diagram showing your circuit?
initially I was using a line level input from an MP3 player. The voltage should not have exceeded 1.5 volts. I then tested using a potentiometer to determine the response. At that point there is a possability I may have exceeded 2.5 volts.
