Just a thought, it would be good if when I clicked on the Sparkfun logo it took me to the forum home page rather than main site homepage.

Many moons ago that’s how it worked. A small debate started about having it direct to the main site and the overwhelming majority of people who chimed in agreed with having it point to the main site. From there on out, it’s been a link to http://www.sparkfun.com .
If you need to get back to the main forum page, you can click the “Board Index” link that is always near the top left the page you are viewing while in the forum.
