Hello all, i have a question on how to interface a Garmin GPS 18x LVC with the MAX3232 and then to the Arduino uno.
Information about the gps:
The unit accepts RS-232 level inputs and transmits voltage level that swing from ground to the positive supply voltage, RS-232 polarity.
So i am supplying the gps with the +5V from the arduino. I think I should connect the TX of the gps to the R1IN of the MAX3232 on the RS232 side then from the T1OUT on the TTL side to the RX of the arduino uno. Am I doing this correctly? Any and all thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Thank you
