SFE should stock the range of gumstix!
Gumstix already stocks the range of Gumstix (notwithstanding the occasional out-of-stockage), and they’re great people to deal with. What would be the advantage of Sparkfun stocking the same stuff?
Nate:
#1: Better shipping options for those not in the US – UPS ain’t a good option, even for Canadians
#2: Acceptance of Paypal for those without credit cards.
#3: Possible access to the PXA270-based modules when available – Gumstix have heavily insinuated that this is an OEM-only module. SFE already makes various OEM products available in low quantity (bulk buying).
Just my 2 cents.

Good points.
One thing about the PXA270 boards though - it may be that Gumstix is making those available only to OEMs in order to keep their support costs down. They have done a great job supporting their PXA255 boards on their mailing list, but they may not be willing to support the PXA270 the same way. I’d have gotten nowhere with the PXA255 boards without all the help on the mailing list, so that would worry me.
I hope that doesn’t become an issue though, as the new board sounds really interesting.
