Hello, I am designing a helmet drop test rig to test the max gs of an impact (Roughly around 300g). I purchased the accelerometer and hooked it up to an Arduino Uno. I downloaded the SparkFun library and used the code supplied by the SparkFun website for the accelerometer family. The code runs but the values don’t seem to change properly when I move the accelerometer around. Is this code for a different accelerometer or should I have some different setup code functions in the code? I am not the best at this kind of stuff so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Kindly study and apply Kalman filtering. Without that, it is very likely to get unrealistic data from these accelerometers and gyros.
