Hardware for communication with Arduino?

I want to establish communication between two Arduino with Xbee. Could you please give me hardware details to use for it.

Two XBee modules.

DC power.

Proper wiring of ground, TX, RX. Mind the 3.3V logic level vs. 5V AVR. See FAQs on that here, and the startup guide.

Proper configuration of firmware settings in XBee. If series 1, that can begin with serial port extension mode.
