Help needed in PCB design of Arduino Ethernet Shield

Hi,

I am working ona project using Arduino UNO and Ethernet Shield, I have almost completed the project and now I want to design a single PCB of these boards. Instead of using these boards, I want a single PCB circuit having similar functionality.

I have downloaded the Arduino UNO PCB design but couldn’t find the Ethernet design, so can someone point me in the right direction. I don’t know if its open source or not.

Secondly, I want to ask about the rigid-flex PCB. I am thinking to design these boards on rigid PCB and sensors using flexible PCB but its looks kind of expensive. So, my question is should I go for Rigid-flex or stick to rigid PCB? Pros and Cons of both from experts.

Thanks.

Hello, which version of the ethernet shield are you working on? Is it V1 or V2? However, the good news is that both are open source.

Here you will find schematics and eagle files of V2:

https://www.arduino.cc/en/uploads/Main/ … -V2-rd.zip

Here are the resources for V1:

Rigid-flex PCB is convenient. But those are too costly. I will suggest a rigid PCB.

Read this guide on Rigid-flex PCB, they have given prices and you will get an idea how expensive it is: https://www.raypcb.com/rigid-flex-pcb/
