I’m trying to create a library part for Eagle based on the package datasheet (there are two) for the LPC2148 from Philips. The datasheet ([here) Is more confusing than helpful, since they seem to give minimum and maximum dimensions for the pitch, etc., that vary hugely! For example, the pin width can be anywhere from 0.17 to 0.27 mm. The pin length can be 0.875mm to 1.125mm. I thought I could use a regular old LQFP package with .5mm pitch, but this datasheet is so vague, I’m starting to wonder. Can anyone shed some light on this?](http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/package/SOT314-2.html)
The older LPC2106 for which I designed a PCB didn’t give me any problems. I designed my own footprint for the Pulsonix software I use - pads are 0.285 x 1.100 on 0.5 mm centres. Manual drag soldering worked without any problems.
