I am a newbie on AVR microcontroller. I am using the STK11radio starter kit (915MHz) with the stk500. I follow the instruction of the STK511 USER guide to run the demo and I should view the LED Bar graph change in response to changes in light intensity if I cover up the transmitter. But nothing happenned. I tried to use an other sample code given by the CD, for example STK511 TX UpDown which increment or decrement the LEDs but it doesn’t work. I restarted again with the instructions but nothing. I know that I can program the STK500 because before having the stk511 I used some programs and they ran. Furthermore when I put the stk511 on the stk500, the LED of the receiver are lit. But I think that the problem might be the communication between the stk500 and the stk511. I say that because in the user guide in the section 4.2.2 configuration register DIP switches there are two tables which show the pin of the opmode register and limit register corresponding of the port of the atmega8515 of the stk500. I checked the port of the atmega corresponding with an oscilloscope but it doesn’t correspond to the value that i put on the register. Can someone help me?
