How to recover from a failed firmware upgrade with XBee Explorer USB?

Oh yea, the USB Explorer doesn’t have a RESET button. Oh dear what to do now?

Look at the USB Explorer schematic and the Digi Documents for the XBee modules you have. Then wire a NO (Normally Open) push button switch from the reset pin of the XBee to ground.

Well, I use an X-bee series 2, with modem XB24-B, function set ZIGBEE ROUTER / END DEVICE AT Version 1220. Connect with a wire a pin 10 (GND) and pin 5 (RESET) for a while and then release, when the message and nothing happens, still the same. There is another way. Before this happens, set the baud rate of 9600 were, tab ‘PC settings’ to change all values to engage in communication but not set. :cry:
