How to start USB host development?

Hi everyone,

I bought electric shep(sparkfun’s product base on Arduino ADK board) in the few week.

I want to control my robot with my computer game console.

I read a lot about usb host shield from Circuit home page.

But I don’t clearly understand.

I also test my board with it latest usb host shield libraries.

But I got errors.

Can I use usb host shield libraries that provided by Circuit Home.

Can some one give advice where should I learn about USB host shield.
