How to wire my arduino&motor&fsr project

Hi guys,

So my project is basically a motor that rotates a pully very slowly (30-40rpm) until a force sensitive resistor is touched. When the fsr senses the force the motor will stop Rotating. The motor will have to be in the 200-400kv range for the torque I’m looking for. Would I need an arduino motor shield or esc for my motor on this project?

How do you think I should wire this? My initial guess was an arduino uno with a motor shield and 10kOhm resistor connecting to the fsr, with the motor connected to the shield.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Is the FSR a part of an existing assembly? If not, it would seem that your project could be done with a gear motor and a limit switch and absolutely no Arduino or other electronics at all, given the information you’ve provided.

200-400kv range? Is that a typo?
