INCREASING SENSOR DISTANCE ISSUES WHEN USING SparkFun Qwiic Mux Breakout - 8 Channel

Hello,

Thanks for taking the time to read my message.

I have an Arduino M0 PRO.

The 8 channel Mux is connected to my Arduino.

3.3volt and ground. SCL and SDA connected.

There is NO problem multiplexing and controlling 3 sensors.

My problem happens when I attach PCA9615 (IC2 Extender) to each port.

The system no longer sees the sensors.

Is there a piece of code I call?

Thanks

Hi Andrew.

Those should work transparently and not affect communication at all. Can you post a photo/diagram showing how everything connects together? That might help figure out what’s going on.

Hi Chris,

I figured out the issue.

turns out that M0 PRO is not recognized properly. It has issues.

Not just me, other people have the same issue.

The reason is because M0 PRO is from .org and not .cc

What RED BOARD has a M0 PRO and works well with Linux and Windows 7?

Thanks for your help.

Regards

Andrew

Hello again Andrew.

We don’t carry the M0 Pro, and don’t have a SparkFun version of it. You might start off using an Arduino Uno (or [SparkFun RedBoard Qwiic) to begin with since they are simpler and the RedBoard Qwiic already has a Qwiic connector right on the board for connecting to the Qwiic Mux. Our example code will run no problems with either the Uno or RedBoard Qwiic.

The [RedBoard Turbo would be another option and it has the same SAMD21 processor as the M0 Pro but it can be more complex to code for.](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/14812)](SparkFun RedBoard Qwiic - DEV-15123 - SparkFun Electronics)
