HI everyone,
I am really hoping that someone can help me with this. I am doing a class project with some RF applications. We are building a multipurpose remote controller. The key part of the project is to incorporate CDMA to allow multiple users. We used a pic 16f767 and already did that. Data is entered through a key pad and the received data is transmitted on 7-seg displays and led’s. I am having trouble sending the data between the two modules. I am trying to use a Laipac 916 FSK receiver and transmitter kit. I have read some of the other posts and got some idea. But i still cant get anything out of my receiver.
I have looked into the data sheet supplied and in the receiver setup there are a lot of things mentioned - mainly some resistor and capacitor values that are not explained well. I am trying to send some data at 2.0kHz or similar. I was wondering if someone could give me some circuit connection diagrams showing what the pins are connected to. Also the connection diagram provided by Laipac use a matched encoder/decoder chips for 8/4 bit address/data. I am not sure if I need to use them or they are there for just a suggestion. And also if it is possible to use them as higher data rates - around 50Khz or so. And what some of the capacitor and resistor values mean. I also got some matching antennas from them. Do I need to get them matched with inductors and capacitors or do they just plug and play - one end to the ant-out and the other to ground?
