LilyPad - MIDI Controller glove with Bluetooth. Help, what parts do I need?

I am planing to build a simple midi controller glove based on LilyPad + some flex sensors and accelerometer. However I can not decide what LilyPad model best suits my needs:

  • I would love for my controller to have a Bluetooth connection (simply to be able to connect to Ableton On Mac or FL mobile on IPad)

Currently I got my eyes on LilyPad USB plus (as it seems convenient for testing). But can not figure out what additional stuff I need to get for it to have Bluetooth?

I have figured out there is a JY-MCU Bluetooth module that can be attached via FTDI adapter to a Arduino LilyPad 328 main board. Should I go for that?

However, I would rather go with a LilyPad USB plus and some sort of Bluetooth board that works with it, as I will be able to charge or test it via usb while I’m working on the project.

Thank you!

Here are similar projects to what I want to do (+ Bluetooth)

What would my shopping list look like?

  • 5 flex sensors

  • LilyPad Accelometer

  • Conductive thread

  • LilyPad Arduino 328 Main Board + LilyPad FTDI breakout + JY-MCU Bluetooth module

Info I found on this: https://www.dx-softlab.com/blog/2018/4/ … -06-module

Here I would also need to get a battery and a usb breakout??

Or

  • LilyPad USB plus + (What would work for Bluetooth??)

(No battery needed if I plan to charge via usb?)

I want to pretty much buy everything I need at once so I can get on with my project when it arrives.

I have a leftover Arduino uno kit with some alligator clips and resistors so I don’t need these, but other than that, what else do I need? A suggestion on what other bits/cables/parts/modules might be useful for experiments based on this are welcome!
