I found two libraries containing the LM3886 - one from a google search (the GainClone library), the other from Eagle’s site. When I add the part to a schematic, I cannot connect a net wire to Pin 1 - it goes to either side of the pin, almost like the pin isnt on the grid.
Link to the libraries so you know what I mean:

I don’t use Eagle, but that sounds like the well-known feature/bug with the grid; pins need to be on the grid otherwise you can’t connect to them. They really should have fixed it by now. You probably need to edit the schematic symbol.

I looked at the LBR’s, and sure enough, the author didn’t have all of the symbol pins on the schematic grid (0.1"). The manual is really clear that a part’s symbol must be on the grid. So while recovering from the flu, and being bored, I decided to fix the symbols in both LBRs (for FREE). I’ve ZIP it, and it’s ready to go. How should I send it to you?

I appreciate all the hard work! Unfortunatley, Im sick aswell, and I played around with Eagle for long enough that I managed to fix them aswell
I created a post with my current project, if you would like to check it out. However, Im sure there are others looking for a proper library, so it definately wouldnt hurt to post it (as yours is likely better than mine)
