Long cable needed between SparkFun Temperature Sensor - STTS22H (Qwiic) and RPi Zero.

With one RPi Zero I would like to measure the temperature in 2 different locations, with one sensor close to the RPi and one 10 feet (3 meters) away.

  1. How long can a cable be between the RPi Zero and the SparkFun Temperature Sensor - STTS22H (Qwiic) ?

  2. Where can I purchase a long qwicc cable?

  3. Can I take an existing qwicc cable and extend it by soldering more wire in between?

The max for i2c is about 1m; longest we sell is 500mm

…but! You could use SPI for the 10’ (max for SPI is 10’, luckily!) sensor and i2c for the close one just fine :slight_smile:
