Longer-Range Sharp IR rangefinder? GP2Y0A02YK

This is another sharp IR range finder very similar to the one they already have, with the exception that it has a range of ~60" (vs. 30")

And I know this is kind of in the wrong section, but does anyone know how long it takes for the output on these to change to match the distance it senses?

iirc, the datasheet lists the update cycle. On the earlier sharp range finders, it was on the order of like 80 mS, That means something like 160 mS worst case.

I looked up the spec sheet and it said 39ms per data read. I posted a reply to this yesterday, don’t know why it didn’t stick :-/
