Looking for an Arduino compatible board to port my programs

I’ve developed a couple sketch programs for my UNO along with various circuits. I’d like to hook the circuit to an Arduino compatible board where it will run separately from my UNO. It would be easier to use available 12V DC line at the site if not USB-3. So the board needs a usb or power port.

I was thinking about using the Arduino Micro or maybe a cheaper knock off. Can anyone tell me if I can dump my sketch to the Micro’s Atmega chip then wire the circuit on the Micro or on a solderable circuit board.

Your help is appreciated.

Sure, as long as your sketch doesn’t exceed the memory of the micro
