Looking for specific cables for my DIY phone

Hello there.

I’m trying to build my own DIY phone and I’m looking for the following cables :

a) USB-micro male to USB-C male : 5 cm
b) mini-HDMI male to mini-HDMI male : 5 cm
c) USB-C male to USB-A male : 4 cm
d) USB-C male to USB-A female x2 : 12 cm

I wonder if someone can help me to find them. The material that I prefer is the silicone or any other soft and flexible material.

Very thanks.

For that list I’d check out digi-key…they have more options than most any other site for on-board components (here’s the usb cables section https://www.digikey.com/en/products/filter/usb-cables/455)

Thanks, but the list is gigantic !

Right; sort to fewer items by selecting a few options in the tick-boxes in the upper section…you can sort for each end of the cable, length, etc

I’m doing, yes. The problem is that they are not selling short cables. Don’t exist cables of 4 or 5 cm ! Can you suggest a different shop ?

Maybe aliexpress?

My friend,

I tried and I’m trying to search there, but I’m having a lot of troubles even there.

You might have to make them yourself :-/

Don’t have the ability,or the tools…at this point I’m looking for companies that can create custom cables. Can you suggest some ? thanks.

nice. Thank you very much.

Hello,

I need an adapter from hirose to USB-C male. Basically I have purchased the Keyboard of the Blackberry Q10 from amazon :

and now I would like to attach the hirose connector of that keyboard to the USB-C port of my raspberry pi zero to be able to use it.

I’m not able to find an adapter that can convert the hirose connector to USB-C male.

More informations about how to create the adapter :

Solder Party (used to?) sell the Q10 as a module. The PCB contains a microcontroller to scan the keyboard matrix and provide I2C communication.

(scroll down for the github links)

Since it is open source, the KiCad file lists the connector as: BM14B(0.8)-24DS-0.4V(53).

You could use that as a starting point for making it USB-capable.

Who can I ask to create it ? this kind of adapter seems to be specific,I suspect that I need to ask to some specific company that isn’t on the list.

Unfortunately the route of the custom cable creation is not applicable, because I realized that the companies that I’ve contacted don’t want to create a small quantity of cables. They want a large numbers of them, but I don’t want to build a large number of phones. Furthermore,a lot of them didn’ t reply at all.

Hello,

I’m looking for a “4 inches Touch Capacitive for Raspberry Touch Screen Panel + Driver board USB” ; I mean,this kind of product,but not 4.3 inches,but 4 inches…

https://it.aliexpress.com/item/10000264932092.html

to use with the “LESOWN Display LCD 4” 40pin 480x480 Display IPS USB-C 5V HDMI " that I bought some time ago.

Do you sell it directly or do you know where I can buy it ? Can you point me to the right link ? 10x

No, we only have these touchscreens available https://www.sparkfun.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=touchscreen

As for the cables: you might be able to contact a small phone repair or electronics repair shop and pay someone to make a few for you? Things like this can be tricky to source :-/
