Looking to drive a 28 segment LED from an Arduino Nano

HI,

I was wondering why type of hardware I would require to run a this bar graph LED.

I have used the SX1509 board in the past for a 15 segment bar graph which was wired pin by pin but this is a bit different. I was wondering if anyone know what board I could use outside of the nano? And if there is any source material to get me started.

Thanks!

SparkFun doesn’t have anything directly for something like this. But you could try looking at this blog to draw inspiration: https://bikerglen.com/blog/driving-a-sp … bar-graph/

You might take a look at this product over at Adafruit: https://www.adafruit.com/product/1721

Their tutorial https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-led-backpack/ covers several “backpacks” for various LED arrays.

BTW, although the Adafruit webpage is showing that it’s out of stock, I looked and DigiKey says they have 19 of them in stock.
