Low RSSI, Lora 1W Module, SX1276 + EBYTE E19_915M30S

Associates,

Using the example code from here:

https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/1w … er-example

When I compare the receiver’s RSSI (Received signal strength indication) to the results from the published example, the Power I pick up is way low.

With my TX set to 17dBm in the SX1276, which means there is 27dBm coming out of the EBYE …

My Receiver reports about -63dBm RSSI for me vs -16dBm in the examples.

-My boards are a meter 1meter apart.

-The PaCFG is confirmed at 0xFF, which translates to PA_Boost Pin (Good) and Pout - 17dBm.

-The official ¼ wave antennas are attached, the ones with the cool 90degree bend.

-That little 0_ohm Jumper is happily connected to the antenna SMA connection.

==> While I debug, I ask for any other ideas for what I should be looking at.

Gratefully,

MARBanak

Thank you. I will study them, as you say. I already see a frequent difference/error of about 1.4kHz in the scrolling report on the RX side.

I have verified that the RF output power is correct, because the P(Vdd) climbs as expected with increases in the RF.Pout seeting.
