I have run into programs programming my lpc2148 starting yesterday. Before then, I had no issues whatsoever.
Now what is happening is:
I cannot connect to my board to program it. The program I am using to load the flash (FlashMagic) tells me “unable to auto-baud” and fails to connect.
The processor chip gets VERY hot within 10 seconds of connecting it to power, whether USB power or AC adapter.
Maybe I accidentally shorted something out?
Any help is appreciated.
The chip has probably failed.

is there any way i can determine this for sure?
And would I be able to get a replacement board for that kind of failure?
You’ve probably blown the chip by connecting something to it with the power on, so you are unlikely to get it replaced. Replacing the chip should be quite easy if you have the equipment.

hm, sounds like i am screwed then. I assume that would entail de-soldering the existing processor and putting in the replacement?
I dont think my soldering skills are quite that good, those pins are tiny.
