LS20031 to RS232

Hello, just received my LS20031 gps receiver from sparkfun, I need some help to connect it to the RS232 port of my computer. Ive connected it to a 3.3v source and the led starts flashing after a while indicating a good fix. My question is, can I directly connect the tx pin of the chip to the rx pin of the serial port and the rx pin of the chip to the tx pin of the serial port??? I must mention I do not have an FTDI cable or the logic level shifter board. Can anyone else who has used this chip guide me??

Do NOT connect it straight to your PC’s serial port, you’ll blow the module. You will need some sort of level shifter to connect to the board at TTL levels.

Hello. Thanks for the reply… Could you suggest any circuit for shifting the level ? I did do a bit of research, will any of these help ??
