Macchina A0 OBD-II Development Module DEV-17493 does not connectvia USB/Serial

Macchina A0 OBD-II Development Module DEV-17493 does not connect via USB/Serial.

I have tried two different A0 devices with three different usb cables. (a different microcontroller shows a USB Serial port with all cables)

Neither of them can connect to my computer using USB. The devices get power, led briefly flashes red, then remains a steady green.

The following all had the same results (no COM port identified in Arduino IDE):

  1. Pressing the reset button does not affect connecting to the computer.
  2. Pressing the reset button whle connecting to the computer.
  3. Three different UBS cables.

I read these docs (And forums), but no guidance on this issue:

Try different port/PC if possible…it sounds like the port isn’t delivering a full 5v to me

This is the first card/device that required a Windows Driver Update; the device manager showed no driver installed. Installing " CP210x Windows Drivers with Serial Enumerator" allowed the A0 to connect.
