Hi All,
I am planning to use the Arduino Uno near a transformer but I am worried about the interference from the magnetic flux. The problem is that I need to send information via a wireless connection, so I can not enclose it in lead or a similar type of material for the housing. Any ideas?
Have you tried it to see if there is a problem ?
No not yet, I am afraid of damaging the Arduino.
What size transformer are we talking about? A small “wall wart” or a monster power line transformer?
I seriously doubt you will have a problem getting the Arduino to run. Just keep the power supply lines short to as not to induce currents.
You may have issues with the transmission due to the EMI generated by the transformer. Again based on size.
