MAX31855K compatibility

Hello there,

I have a question regarding this part:

I have a max31855tasa cheap from Maxim Integrated which is the exact same cheap as the one you have on this board (this one- https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13266) but mine is compatible with type t thermocouple.

My question is- can i replace the cheap with the one i have and have full compatibility with type t thermocouple?

If not, is there anything i can do to be able to work with type t thermocouple?

Hi Uriel.

We’ve never tried a different chip, but if it’s pin for pin compatible, it might work. You’d need to give it a try and see what happens.
