MicroSD Breakout With Level Shifter with Arduino micro

Hi,

I am new to Arduino and have zero background in electronics, so please show mercy.

I have recently bought the MicroSD Breakout With Level Shifter, which worked excellent with my Arduino Uno. I have tried to connect it to my new Arduino Micro 5V, and it doesn’t work. I am running the sketchs from the SD examples provided with the software. They worked well with the Uno, but they don’t work with the Micro. I checked the wiring, and then re-checked them and then re-re-re checked them. They are OK.

The code is simply the SDinfo code, with the chipSelect changed to 8. I attach it below.

The error I get is:

Initializing SD card…initialization failed. Things to check:

  • is a card inserted?

  • is your wiring correct?

  • did you change the chipSelect pin to match your shield or module?

The answer to all of the above is yes.

This is so frustrating! I Will appreciate your help!
