Hi Folks!
I recently completed a little arduino based project and wanted to share it here.
Basically - anyone can login to minecraft and turn my Christmas tree lights on or off (as well as control the color of a RGB LED strip)
I’m using a raspberry Pi for the webcam and a spark core as the primary control brain. The core is talking to an Arduino Uno via serial to control the RGB strip.
Feel free to check it out at http://www.minecraftchristmastree.com!
I’m working on a tutorial about how I did this as well, it will be out in January.
Thanks for your time, Merry Christmas!
Part 1/4 of the Tutorial for this project is now live!
You can check it out here if you like -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pK8F_wjBHew
The other parts will be as follows:
Part 2 - released January 23 - Covering everything inside Minecraft
Part 3 - released January 30 - Covering Spark and Arduino programming as well as wiring
Part 4 - released February 6 - Covering the Raspberry Pi webcam and some extra tidbits.
Thanks!
Just wanted to post an update that part 2 and 3 are now available.
