probably automotive AVRs. Proprietary sales.

For most projects I start out with a ATmega48. Its cheap and what im used to. For a tiny I normal use a ATtiny45 for the same reasons.

Does it even really matter? Seems like the biggest factor in choosing an AVR is flash size and package. Dont most (if not all) of the chips have the standard peripherals?
