I was wondering if anyone has worked with the BeagleBone Black, specifically, have you driven standard DC motors (not stepper motors) with it and a motor driver?
I’m trying to work out the best solution to run my drive motors with my BeagleBone Black. I’ve been working on a solution to connect one of my Sabertooth controllers with the BeagleBone Black but I have not had good luck. I’ve tried using a USB to TTL serial cable, while the BeagleBone Black would see the adapter I could never connect to the Sabertooth. So I tried connecting the Sabertooth straight to the BeagleBone Black via PWM but again I had no luck communicating between the two.
Has anyone been able to get either ways to work? :think: I know there is a way… I mean there has to be, right? Or should I just give up with the Sabertooth and create a motor controller from scratch using a motor driver and a breadboard?
Any help, guidance or tip/trick would be appreciated!
