MP3 Trigger Questions Prior to Purchase for Pinball

Hey Guys,

I was thinking of adding the mp3 trigger to my electromechanical 1979 pinball machine to trigger more interesting sounds. Is this something that is feasible working off the existing leaf switches? I was thinking I could add another couple of wires to each of the switches I wanted to trigger the new board with. The switch when closed would send its normal signal to the pinball mpu and also send a signal to the board at the same time playing on a separate powered speaker.

Thoughts?

Hello Chris,

This board should fit your needs. The trigger pins play the sounds based on the button/trigger mechanism connecting the pin to ground. So long as your circuit accommodates this, you should be fine.

I also was wondering the same thing. Instead of adding secondary leaf switches to everything a simple addition of wires to each switch would be way more cost effective.
