Hi everyone,
I use a SparkFun mp3 trigger. There is only 1 audiofile on my sd-card. After triggering the first trigger the audiofile starts playing without any problems, however sometimes the audio suddenly stops playing after a while. The moment that this happens is not every time at the same moment during the audiofile.
When it stops playing, the green led goes off and I can’t start the audiofile again (not by again triggering the input nor using the nav switch). When I restart the whole board (power off/power on) the audio starts playing again.
Does anyone know what the problem can be or how I can solve this?
Kind regards,
Imre
It’s a bug with a faulty IC we got from a supplier; fill out this form https://www.sparkfun.com/returns and we’ll send out a replacement (new IC!)
I think that I may have the same problem. The boards stop; the green LED is out, and it can’t be re-triggered.
Power OFF/ Power ON the audio starts again. The boards are from batch/# 144678, is that the batch with the faulty IC?
thanks,
Bob
I’m currently rebuilding my pinball machine, and I’m running into the same issue. I found this post from over a decade ago:

"My problem is solved…!
after threadsearching, mailing and digging into the electronics I found out that the left and right channel of the audio output should not be connected. If they are connected the module stops working at some point (it could also work for some time aftre which it stops) and doesn’t respond anymore.
So. No problems anymore, everything works fine now.
Super thanks for all support from Robertsonics!"

But I’m not quite sure what he means. Does anyone else have a clue what this means?
I tried arudino power supply and it’s own power source, but that wasn’t the problem.
