Sorry, I’m sort of new to electronics. I bought an MSP430-H449 header board. It obviously doesn’t work in a bread board but it doesn’t fit in a perf board (at least not the one I got from Radio Hack). Do I solder wires directly to all 100 break out pins?
I would recommend AGAINST soldering directly to the pins. Soldering directly to the pins may heat up the board excessively due to the shear number of pins you’d have to hook up.
If it were me, I would use some female headers Single Inline Package (SIP) and create a socket for the H449. Once you have the socket wired up, you can switch out boards if need be.
Wire-wrapping is also a decent way to do it, but it’s fairly permanent. I can’t imaging wire-wrapping 100 pins, but having to do it twice would be a nightmare.
