MSP-JTAG Tiny problem

I just got an MSP-JTAG tiny. My environment is Rowley 1.4.

After setting up the pointer to the DLL in the setup, I connect to my device and try to connect. I get an error, “Firmware update Required”.

When I try to “Upgrade firmware…”, I get a nearly immediate response of “Update error: No error”, which seems to have done nothing, because my next attempt to connect gives me the “Firmware update Required” error.
