Multiple XBee networks

Hello guys,

I have a project I am working on where I need to connect 1x Arduino (Master) to 8x Arduino (Slaves). The arduinos will be to far apart to be connected by cables so I am looking at using XBee’s to connect them.

Now these 9 arduinos will be in the same room, so I know that this will work well.

My question is, If I have this same setup of 9 arduinos in multiple rooms that are next to each other will there be interference?

No, so long as there is little or no use of transmitting frames to the broadcast address destination 0xFFFF.

This all differs between XBee series 1 (preferred) and series 2 (ZigBee only).

Each radio will have a unique (MAC) address. You can also put each room’s XBees on a different RF channel, but not necessary.
