Need help with Starter Kit temperature sensor

I plugged in a 12V adapter and now the readings seems stable at 5 volts.

What is the point of the 6v battery pack then ? is it not for arduino ? i was recommended this part…

With alkaline batteries, voltage = 6.4 (completelt fresh, but been lying around for some time)

With lithium, voltage = 6,7 (used for a little bit while experimenting)

meh :frowning:

Anyone have a suggestion about a ceapish decent battery with a charger ?

Lithium batts are 3.7V per cell, you might look into using 2 or 3 of those. Or perhaps find a [6 cell holder (or make the equivalent yourself) if you don’t want to mess with LiPo’s.](http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=140-976&utm_source=googleps)

Oki am not quite sure how this works.

If I may be so bold to suggest this:
