You’ll essentially just follow along with that write-up…they have a link to their custom board schematics
If you need general help you might check with a local maker space, hobby group, or university
could you recommend parts from your website? Because this is 10years old I believ. I the link didn’t work for me about the coustom board schematic 
All the parts, except possibly the lock servo/solenoid, are standard and still available. Do your on line research.

It might just be a defunct project….even a web archive of the page form 2016 doesn’t have the links available either Google Code Archive - Long-term storage for Google Code Project Hosting.
Like jremington said though, the parts are still able to be bought. I’d either grab those and have AI help cobble some code together or just find a different (newer) DIY music lock box tutorial and start there
