I will order my second facet from my local dealer and I want to receive the new version GPS-19984 instead of the retired one GPS-19029, but how to be sure that my local dealer sold me the newer version ? :?: I can’t see the difference from photos and also is there any other differences other than the included case :geek: ?
Ask your local dealer which version they have in stock??
The carrying case is the main difference. There are a variety of internal incremental improvements, but either SKU is interchangeable.
thanks for the fast answer ,but how can I notice that this is the new one or not , is there any physical appearance that helps ,coz I want to be sure that he didn’t put the old one in a carrying case and sell it as the new version. I hope you understand my point of view.

Yep, I get it. This is why we issue new SKUs at SparkFun - so that we can say definitively what’s in a user’s hands. If a distributor takes GPS-19029 and puts it in a carrying case, I don’t know of a way to tell tell the difference without opening the unit.
