I bought a SparkFun GPS-RTK-SMA Breakout - ZED-F9P (Qwiic) with GNSS Multi-Band Magnetic Mount Antenna - 5m (SMA) and a GPS antenna ground plate. I have connected the thru USB, but I don’t get a GPS lock. A couple of times I saw 1 satellite, but it disappeared after a few seconds.
Any ideas what the problem could be? I searched for a long time to see if I could solve it by myself, but no success.
Yes, I have tested it outside far away from anything that could block the signal. Today I saw 1 satellite for a few minutes, but then it went away and didn’t get to see any satellites for the whole day.
Have you been able to get the system to work since your post?
I’m looking to buy either a F9P or F9K kit, so this is interesting to me. If you have fixed it, I wonder if you would be willing to share what it took to make it work? If you haven’t, I’d be willing to put another set of eyes on it in case I can help and because I plan to build and troubleshoot a really similar situation.
I returned the Zed f9p sma board to the store where I bought it and they looked at it. The chip was broken and they could not fix it so I got a new Zed f9p sma board. The new board worked from the start and I have been working with it since then.
