No green LED Arduino Pro Mini

Had it working just fine, the reset timing was tricky to get but I finally got it down to an art. I have 2 Arduino Pro Mini’s and both were working fine, then the green LED on one of them stopped blinking entirely. I tried holding reset while plugging in my FTDI USB cable, plugging in and then holding reset for a minute, multiple sketches, everything. I’m using 0017 and like I said I do have a Pro Mini that works fine with my setup.

Is this chip dead? Is there a way to get it working again?

No response from avrfreaks.net. Could the bootloader be bad? I’ve read about burning a bootloader via the arduino IDE but I don’t have a device to do that.

Has anyone seen a Pro Mini with solid red led only from startup?

You could try burning the bootloader of the non-working mini with the working one, using the info here: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to- … er-arduin/

It’s done with a regular arduino but the same thing should apply, select the appropriate board and follow the rest of the instructions.
